The successful candidates should have experience in the field of front-end and readout
electronics and will play a leading role in the development and design tasks within the
PANDA at FAIR experimental program. The current focus of the R&D activities at the
Helmholtz Institute Mainz is on the development, implementation and testing for FPGA
and DSP-based readout electronics.
A PhD or equivalent degree is required preferably in nuclear physics or related fields for
the postdoctoral position.
The positions are initially limited to 2 years. Salary is equivalent to that for public employees
as specified in the collective agreement for public employees (TVöD).

The Helmholtz Institute Mainz aims at increasing the percentage of women in academic
