we cordially invite you to participate at the 52nd International Winter Meeting on Nuclear Physics, taking place January 27-31, 2014 in Bormio, Italy.
This is a long-standing conference, bringing together every year researchers and students from various fields of subatomic physics.
Unlike many workshops, the International Winter Meetings in Bormio do not focus on a single topic.
Addressed topics include:
Nuclear Structure and nuclear astrophysics
Heavy Ion Physics
Hadron Physics
Particle Physics
Applied nuclear physics
Detectors and future projects
Along with the tradition review talks by more senior speakers in the morning session will be followed by short contribution or
poster presentation by junior researcher in the afternoon. Like in the last years the best poster presenter will be awarded a price.

Initiatives for young students:
· Pre-conference School
To improve the participation of students and young researchers at the conference a pre-conference school is taking place on Sunday 26 January:
four topical lectures will be held covering the basics of the main physics topics dealt within the conference.
Students are asked to select the proper field in the registration form if they wish to participate
· Students fellowships
A limited number of fellowships will be awarded to brilliant students to cover their accommodation and conference fee. Students who intend to apply
for the fellowships are asked to send their application (their CV and abstract) to the organizing commetee (organizers@bormioconf.org) until October 6th.
The participation to the Pre-Conference School is mandatory for all students who have been awarded the fellowship .

If you wish to participate please register and submit you abstract by due time to help the organization to fulfill your accommodation wishes
and schedule the scientific program.
Registration uses the INDICO system. You need an account on our INDICO server in order to register.
