The experimental nuclear physics group at Iowa State University invites applications for a post-doctoral position to work on the sPHENIX experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The successful applicant will participate in the development of detector systems for the sPHENIX experiment, including electronics, simulations and test beam qualification of prototypes. The position will also offer data analysis opportunities afforded by existing data from the PHENIX experiment.  Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics.
