PhD opportunity in data-intensive science

The University of Bristol invites applications for fully-funded PhD studentships at its Doctoral Training Centre for Data-Intensive Science.
These studentships offer the chance to carry out doctoral research in particle physics or astrophysics, combined with training in big data and machine learning techniques, and a six-month industry-based project. The aim is to develop a training ground for the next generation of data scientists required by both industry and academia.

These studentships are open for applications immediately, with studies beginning in October 2017. Applications are welcome from students of any nationality.
