Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions, LHC-CMS Experiment
The Purdue High Energy Nuclear Physics group studies relativistic
heavy-ion collisions as members of the RHIC-STAR and LHC-CMS
experiments. Our primary physics interests are in the areas of particle
correlations and heavy flavor production to elucidate the properties of
high-density QCD and the QGP. A post-doctoral research associate
position is available within the group for CMS. The position can start
as early as February 1, 2019, and applications are open until the
position is filled. The successful candidate is expected to lead a
significant physics initiative and/or hardware project. This appointment
is for one year, renewable up to three years. A Ph.D. in physics or a
related field is required at time of appointment. Applicants should send
their curriculum vitae and arrange for three letters of reference to be
sent to Prof. Wang at fqwang@purdue.edu. Purdue University is an Equal
Opportunity Employer.
