NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
- PhD theses of Arild Velure and Fabrizio Grosa (winners of the ALICE Thesis Award 2020) have been accepted for publication in the Springer Thesis series, selected for scientific excellence and the high impact of the contents.
- ALICE industry award 2020: The ALICE industry award 2020 ceremony took place on Monday, 9 November. Details are in the ALICE week presentation and in the ALICE webpage. A video of the virtual tour of ALICE by our Technical Coordinator is in the link here.

- Run Coordination:
- Taku Gunji (RC) and Federico Ronchetti (DRC)'s mandates have been extended for one year (till December 2021).
- PWG Conveners:
- PWG-CF: Laura Fabbietti to replace the outgoing convener Alice Ohlson from January 1, 2021.
- PWG-GA: extension of Friederike Bock's mandate until September 30, 2021.
- PWG-HF: Criistina Terrevoli to replace the outgoing convener Xiaoming Zhang from February 1, 2021.
- PWG-LF: Ramona Lea to replace the outgoing convener Anders Knospe from February 1, 2021.

NEWS FROM POINT 2
Surface commissioning, commissioning at P2 and labs, and remote commissioning are progressing well for all central and subsystems. The main highlights of this week: (ALICE week, TB meeting).
- Cavern: Miniframe is ready for installation.
- TOF: First cosmics confirmed! Congratulations to all TOF team members!
- TPC: Connection of TPC (C-Side) ongoing (Refilling with neon, cooling tests ongoing, LV, HV connected, fibre connection ongoing).
- ITS: Data taking on hold for IB and OB: an instability possibly in the propagation of the clock from CRUs to RUs. ITSComlayer progressing.
- MFT: surface commissioning ends last week. MFT is progressing for the preparation of the installation.
- HMPID: Very successful VS tests. Full chains up to EOS with QC in FLP and EPN confirmed.
