Frequently Asked Questions: COVID FAQ page.

           New this week:
           - CERN measures require that everyone who is able to telework should not come on-site.
           -
Quarantine for persons arriving in Switzerland is updated in the link here.
           - Entrance to France and Switzerland: Entrance requirements to the Host States are evolving, even for those coming from   the European area (EU member States and Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland             and the Vatican).
           - Those coming to France by air or sea are now required to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours prior to arrival. As of 8 February, Switzerland will also require evidence of a negative RT-PCR test for those arriving by air. Also as of 8 February, contact data must be provided via an electronic form by anyone entering Switzerland by plane, boat, bus or train. We are advised to consult the relevant pages before traveling for the full range of new measures: Link1 and Link2.
           - A new test-and-release strategy in Switzerland coming into force on 8 February will allow people to leave quarantine after seven days, provided proof of a negative antigen rapid test or RT-PCR test is provided. If you are a close contact, you also need the agreement of the cantonal authorities to be released from quarantine. CERN offers the possibility for testing for those in this situation. For all CERN’s testing opportunities, see: https://hse.cern/content/duty-travel-covid-19
          - The new arrangements do not apply to the daily commutes of frontier workers, or children attending Swiss schools, for example.
          - If you are traveling, consult the link here beforehand.
           - CERN’s quarantine measures can be found in the link here.

For any information and support regarding the quarantine period contact ALICE-covid19-coordination@cern.ch

    • ALICE secretariat opening next week: Tuesday 2 February, from 8h30 to 12h30 and from 13h30 to 17h30.
Nathalie, Guylaine & Julia remain available by phone and e-mail.
