ONGOING AND UPCOMING EVENTS
CERN Courier Sep/Oct 2021 Energy Frontier page 15 features our result on Charm breaks fragmentation universality:
Charm–quark fragmentation fractions into charm hadrons measured in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 TeV (black squares), in e+e– collisions (purple and yellow markers) and in ep collisions (closed and open red circles). The D* meson is depicted separately since its contribution is also included in the ground-state charm mesons.

Level 2 measures are in the link here.
- Update on the COVID19 Guidelines: https://hse.cern/covid-19-information
Recent health measures: A reminder of the COVID-19 measures in place
Frequently Asked Questions: COVID FAQ page.
- Wearing of Proximeters is again mandatory at CERN, even in level 2 - Yellow: as clearly reminded in the Covid news of yesterday.
- Absence management and the return to school: With the return of children to school, and in anticipation of COVID-19 related measures, provisions for parents have been reinstated in the Absence Management Table, line B5.
- Self-testing at CERN for asymptomatic people: Self-testing at CERN is for those coming on-site and exhibiting no symptoms. If you have symptoms, even mild ones, do not come on site, self-evaluate and self-declare on Tramed. The Medical Service can arrange for you to have an RT-PCR test off-site.
e-learning module for self-testing is available here. Sign-up for a self-test using the Plamed tool.
- Self-test on return from vacation: While testing is recommended for everyone with a frequency of one test every two weeks, CERN strongly recommends us to make use of the service immediately on return from vacation.
- Evolution of COVID-19 cases at CERN can be found here.
- Vaccination certificates issued outside the EU and Switzerland: For holders of vaccination certificates issued outside the EU, the procedure for applying to convert your certificate into a French COVID certificate is described here. The form to request the conversion is available here.
Vaccination certificates issued by the NHS in the UK are recognised as valid by the French TousAntiCovid verif and SwissCovid apps.
- Measures in France: updated 30 August.
A booster shot is now recommended for those aged 65 and over. Details are here.
France updated its classification of countries as green, orange or red on 27 August. The current classification, along with details of conditions for international travel, is available at the page here.
- Measures in Switzerland: updated 25 August.
There remain no countries requiring quarantine on arrival in Switzerland.
