Two year postdoctoral position in the ALICE Clermont-Ferrand group - IN2P3/CNRS France

A two year postdoctoral research position is going to be open by IN2P3/CNRS in the ALICE group of the LPC Clermont-Ferrand.
The postdoctoral work will be mostly devoted to the analysis of the data collected with ALICE in pp, pPb/Pbp and PbPb collisions. More specifically, the analysis of open heavy flavour production via muons detected with the Muon Spectrometer will be carried out. The group of Clermont-Ferrand has already a good expertise in this topic. In parallel, the physics performance of the MFT (Muon Forward Tracker), a recently approved upgrade project, will be studied by means of simulations.

The applicant should have a recent phD in Nuclear or Particle Physics. A strong knowledge in experimental physics, C++ and computing is requested. Fluent English speaking and good human relationship are mandatory.
The appointment will be for two years starting from October 1st 2013. The net salary will be of the order of 2 keuro/month.
