Mexico´s National Autonomous University (UNAM) is the largest science-education/research  institution in Latin-America, and IF-UNAM is the first physics institute in the country. GENAE participated in the design, construction, and operation of the V0A trigger detector for ALICE, and shall reinforce this effort during the improvement and upgrade of this important instrument. Participation in the group’s data analyses interests in quark matter phenomenology and the production of (anti)nuclei, among other projects, is also expected.
