The School of Physics & Astronomy is looking for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the T2K experiment at the University of Glasgow, working with Professor Paul Soler and Dr Phillip Litchfield. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in particle physics and/or instrumentation, with experience in the simulation and analysis of particle physics data, and/or experience in building detector systems for particle physics experiments.

Job position

The position is under KAKENHI (Grant-in-Aid Transformative Research Area (A)) project “What is dark matter? - Comprehensive study of the huge discovery space in dark matter” (PI: Hitoshi Murayama, JFY2020-2024).
The successful candidate will join the Belle II experiment and will promote its research program by performing physics analysis on dark matter search at Belle II. The contribution to the operation of or detector development at Belle II is also expected. (After the term of KAKENHI, the budget of KEK is used for employment.)
