Nikhef/Utrecht university invites applications for a 2-year post-doc position on the ALICE experiment at CERN. The dutch group was strongly involved in the design and construction of the ALICE Inner Tracking System

The successful applicant will be based at CERN and is expected to support the daily operation and maintenance of the ALICE Silicon Strip Detectors

(SSD) which are part of the ITS as a (sub)system coordinator. Additional activities can include either a physics analysis project within the dutch physics programme or a contribution to the ITS hardware upgrade programme.

The full time post will be initially for two years with a possibility to extend to three years, depending on performance.
