Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at Hiroshima University, Japan

The Graduate School of Science at Hiroshima University has an opening

for a tenure-track assistant professor position to promote scientific

research activities classified in “Space Science”, where experimental

studies at the LHC are definitely included. The working place will be initially

allocated at the University campus though, according to his/her working

plan, he/she may have chance to stay most of time outside the campus,

Oak Ridge National Laboratory – Postdoctoral position

Oak Ridge National Laboratory –  Postdoctoral position

The Heavy Ion Reactions group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking qualified candidates

For a new Postdoctoral Research Associate position to conduct experimental research and work on the

development of readout electronics for an upgrade of the Time Projection Chamber of the ALICE Experiment.

Responsibilities:

- Independently plan, design, and execute tests of advanced detector readout electronics associated with the

upgrade of the ALICE TPC

Post-doctoral Research Associate Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions, CERN-CMS Experiment Purdue University

The Purdue High Energy Nuclear Physics group studies relativistic heavy-ion collisions as members of the RHIC-STAR and LHC-CMS experiments. Our primary physics interests are in the areas of particle correlations and heavy flavor production to elucidate the properties of high-density QCD. A post-doctoral research associate position is available within the group for CMS. The position can start as early as January 1, 2015, and applications are open until the position is filled.

Postdoctoral research position on the LHCb Experiment

Postdoctoral research position on the LHCb Experiment

The Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille (France) is seeking a postdoctoral research

assistant, having an experience between 3 and 5 years (including PhD), to work on the LHCb

experiment.

The postdoctoral research project consists in the study of rare decays of B mesons into tau leptons

with the LHCb detector. Contrary to the rare decays with muons in the final state, they are still

Postdoctoral Associate to work on the CMS experiment at the LHC

The Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education
(CLASSE) at Cornell University has a least one opening for a
Postdoctoral Associate to work on the CMS experiment at the LHC.
The Cornell group is involved in a broad array of activities,
including CMS pixel detector re-commissioning, phase 1 pixel detector
upgrades, and phase 2 upgrades for the HL-LHC, including track
trigger software and hardware, tracker development, and GPU integration

PhD Program

Dear colleagues,

also the University of Trieste (Department of Physics), like last years, issue a PhD programme call for foreign applicants, beside the one for the Italian candidates.

Details can be found at the following link:

You can contact the ALICE Trieste team, if you are interested.

Best regards,

Giacomo
