The department of High Energy of the Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City opens a position for a fulltime associate C (junior scientist) in the area of experimental physics of High Energy. The candidate should have less than 36 years old at the date of the present call.
The candidate will have a wide interest in the measurement, analysis and interpretation of collisions of protons, and heavy ions to integrate the group which is involved in the ALICE experiment

The European School in Instrumentation for Particle and Astroparticle Physics (ESIPAP) is opening.
The organization of  ESIPAP is very similar to that of JUAS, the Joint University Accelerator School.
 Like JUAS, it will be based at ESI in Archamps (France) next to Geneva.
 
 Although ESIPAP was founded by the laboratory of excellence ENIGMASS, it will recruit worldwide
Master and Ph.D.

Application is open for a permanent faculty position at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. The Brazilian group from Universidade de São Paulo  is part of the ALICE Collaboration and it is involved in several analysis related to heavy flavor, direct photons and jet physics. The group is also involved in the O2 project and the ALICE upgrade program.

 

Workshop on Heavy Flavor Correlations in Nuclear Collisions

we would like to announce a workshop dedicated to heavy-flavour correlations in heavy-ion and

pp collisions in Bergen (Norway) at the beginning of October (2.-4.).

 

The goal of the workshop is to have an informal discussion among theorists and experimental

physicists to understand what can be learnt by studying heavy-flavour correlations in pp and

HCP2012 in Kyoto, Japan 12-16 November 2012 -registration open
