The Physics Department at the University of Trieste is now accepting applications for PhD student positions.
The ALICE group in Trieste is looking for students aiming at undertaking the newly available PhD scholarships.
The group is mainly involved in the activities of the physics working groups on light-flavour particles (PWG-LF), heavy-flavours particles (PWG-HF) and Monte Carlo and Minimum Bias physics (PWG-MM) and it is actively contributing to the Inner Tracking System upgrade projects (ITS2 and ITS3).
The group is also engaged with the computing tasks of the ALICE experiment, maintaining the Trieste grid computing site and dealing with cloud computing.
The duration of the PhD program is three years, starting from November 2021.
