NEWS FROM POINT 2

  • Run coordination:
    • ALICE took data with all detectors (but ZDC) in stable pp beam at 900 GeV with 2 bunches colliding
    • 14M  + 13M events collected in two rounds with instantaneous luminosity between 1 kHz and 400 Hz
    • First test of online calibration workflow with beam
    • Seen first unstable beam collisions at 13.6 TeV with FIT+HMP+EMC+PHOS
    • Deployed new FLP and EPN software with bugfixes for next round of injection energy collisions
    • LHC: beam commissioning at 6.8 TeV.

  • Healthy Minds for Master Minds Workshop: We would like to thank the Spokesperson team, CB chair team, Diversity Office and ALICE Secretariat for helping to coordinate the Healthy Minds for Master Minds Workshop as part of the ALICE Wellbeing Campaign, which was conducted during the ongoing ALICE week. A special thanks goes to Zuzana who put a great effort in this initiative even after finishing her mandate as junior representative. So far we received lots of positive feedback from the 105 ALICE members who participated.   • Juniors's day: We want to thank all juniors who attended the juniors's day for the lively participation and fruitful discussions. A big thank you to all speakers who contributed with a physics talk!
