The Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen-und Kernphysik is looking to fill the position of post-doctoral researcher in the ALICE experiment, initially on a fixed-term contract for two years with the option of extension subject to the availability of funding.

The group of Prof. B. Ketzer is active in the field of experimental high-energy hadron physics and related detector development. The successful candidate is expected to contribute significantly to the operation and calibration of the upgraded ALICE Time Projection Chamber with GEM technology, and to the analysis of data from Run-3 with a focus on studying charmonium-like and exotic states in ALICE. In addition, contributions to the R&D for ALICE 3 are envisaged.

The application deadline is set for 31 July.
