Abstract

In this thesis the production of (anti)triton and (anti)$^4\mathrm{He}$ in Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$=5.02 TeV, recorded with the ALICE detector, is studied. Due to their large mass (anti)nuclei are produced very rarely. Transverse momentum spectra and integrated production yields as well as coalescence parameters were extracted. The results were compared to theoretical models and other ALICE data. Furthermore, a systematic study of ion backflow and energy resolution in quadruple GEM stacks was performed for the upgrade of the ALICE Time Projection Chamber.
