Nantes University is opening  a permanent position as Assistant professor  at Nantes University in experimental nuclear, high-energy physics. 
Candidates should first obtain qualification for Maitre de Conférences from the CNU, which application deadline is December 6.
 
Job description:
Nantes Université invites applications for associate professor in Experimental High Energy Physics, starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing both research and academic programs within the institution.

Research
The successful candidate will join the Plasma group of the SUBATECH laboratory (https://www2-subatech.in2p3.fr/en). The research focus will be on experimental study of the quark-gluon plasma, in ALICE experiment at LHC. 

Teaching
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physics at Nantes Université for a total of 192 hours per year. The teaching language is French; therefore, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in teaching in French.
 
Qualifications
The candidate should have:
• A PhD in Physics, specializing in Nuclear, Hadronic or Particle Physics or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in French for teaching purposes.
