The Warsaw University of Technology invites applications for a fully-funded 4-year PhD position in high-energy nuclear physics within the ALICE Collaboration at the CERN LHC. The position is part of the Polish National Science Centre (NCN) OPUS project:
“Baryon Exploration And Charm production Observed via correlations in the ALICE Experiment”, led by Dr. Małgorzata Janik.

The successful candidate will work on the analysis of LHC Run 3 data, with a focus on heavy-flavour correlations and possibly jet physics. The project offers opportunities for international collaboration within ALICE and regular visits to CERN. Additionally, possible close collaboration with INFN Padova (Italy).
Start date: October 1st, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Duration: 4 years (with a standard Polish doctoral school enrollment)
Location: Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Physics (Warsaw, Poland)
