We are looking for a research fellow in the ALICE CERN team to work on the characterisation of monolithic pixel chips for the ALICE 3 Inner Tracker. We expect the successful candidate to drive the day-to-day activities in the CERN team. These comprise: measurements in the laboratory and during test beam campaigns; data analysis to demonstrate compliance with performance requirements; and the development and preparation of test systems for novel pixel chips under development in the ALMIRA project. The activities are carried out with support from members of the CERN team and in collaboration with participating institutes.

You can find further information on the CERN fellowships (EP-2026-1/Cat2), including details on the general conditions and application procedure, on the CERN careers web page:

Please note that the same application form is used for positions on various topics in different experiments. The deadline for applications is August 30, 2026, at 23:59 (Geneva time).

Please do not hesitate to contact Jochen Klein (project leader) or Luciano Musa (group leader) for further information.
