Jobs
Postdoc position
Please take note of the following job opening for a postdoc position in the field of Experimental Heavy-Ion Physics with the ALICE experiment at the LHC.
Postdoc position to work on ALICE and the U. S. Electron Ion Collider
The UC Berkeley heavy ion group is looking for a postdoc to work with the LBNL Relativistic Nuclear Collisions program. The successful candidate will divide their time between ALICE at the LHC and the Electron-Ion Collider, working on physics topics that are synergistic between the two venues, most likely involving photoproduction and probes of the gluon distribution in heavy nuclei. At ALICE, this will likely involve analysis of data on ultra-peripher
2-year post-doc position
The ALICE team in Padua is soon opening a 2-year post-doc position co-funded by the STRONG2020 (GRANT AGREEMENT N.824093 WP18_NA7 CUP I54I19000610005 ) and ARCADIA (INFN Group 5 call) projects.
Junior Group Leader Position
The Stefan Meyer Institute for Subatomic Physics (SMI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is offering a Junior Group Leader Position
(f*m) for ALICE with tenure-track option.
Two post-doctoral positions in the Finnish ALICE group
The Finnish team has opened two post-doctoral researcher positions. The main tasks are centered around FIT activities and FoCal upgrade. Please find more information in
Call for Marie-Curie Cofund PhD positions in Padua
The Padua University is opening a call for 25 PhD positions, two of which in Physics, in the framework of the COFUND Marie Curie action (https://www.unipd.it/en/uniphd), thus offering very good salary and employment conditions.
Postdoctoral Associate on the ALICE experiment
Job description:
Postdoctoral Researcher in silicon pixel detectors
Nikhef invites applications for a postdoc position in instrumentation for future particle detectors, primarily on silicon pixel detectors with a high temporal resolution. The successful candidate will work on the development of state-of-the art pixel sensors and its corresponding readout ASICs. The future LHC upgrades require a time resolution of several tens of picoseconds in a harsh radiation environment.
