Ernesto is a Ph.D. student from Lima, Peru working on the measurement of diffractive cross sections using the AD system in ALICE. He performed service tasks on the design and production of the AD detector by studying the performances of the detector using detailed Monte Carlo simulations. In Run 2, he was involved in the operation at Point 2 by taking ECS and AD shifts. Ernesto did the RM package last year and returns this year again doing a RM block.
During his mandate, Ernesto will take care of the continuation of pp physics production at 500 kHz with the full machine (2400b).
