Run Manager

ALICE Run Manager (15-21 April 2024): Livia Terlizzi

Livia is a junior member of the collaboration from the Torino group and an expert on Resistive Plate Chambers. She worked on the MID upgrade for RUN3 with new bakelite electrodes and on the performances of MID during the first year of data taking. She is one of the ALICE representatives of the eco-gas collaboration of CERN. Since 2023 she is also the MUON System Run Coordinator, and she is in charge of both MID and MCH systems. In the scope of the ALICE upgrades, she is actively contributing to the ITS3 project within the WP3 group, focusing on the MOSS chip readout and pixel matrix characterisation. She has a large experience in ALICE operations as she has taken several central shifts as well as three Run Manager blocks in the past years.

Livia will coordinate the last steps of the LHC intensity ramp-up, during which ALICE will collect high-rate data for the calibration of TPC and TOF detectors. She will perform the final commissioning of the experiment in preparation for the collisions at 500 kHz with the full LHC machine.
