Peiyu is a Ph.D. student from the China Institute of Atomic Energy in Beijing. Previously, she worked on the R&D of Micro Pattern Gas Detectors, focusing on detector construction and testing procedures. As part of those R&D activities, she also built several imaging systems based on MPGD detectors. She recently started her Ph.D. thesis in which she contributes to the R&D and testing of TPC detectors. This year she followed the Run Manager training, taking central shifts for all the roles (QC, DCS, ECS, and Shift Leader) over the past three months, and she is now fully qualified for her first Run Manager mandate in ALICE.
During the first week of her mandate, Peiyu will supervise the central systems and detector tests during the MD3. The second week will be fully devoted to proton-proton physics data taking.
