Magnus is a young physicist from Denmark who is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the ALICE Group at the University of Oslo (UiO). He first became part of the ALICE collaboration in 2021, when he completed his bachelor's project at the University of Copenhagen (KU) on the first prototype of the hadronic part of FoCal (Forward Calorimeter). He continued this work during his M.Sc., while also taking on various shift positions in the ARC (ALICE Run Control), where he familiarized himself with all the different procedures.
Now, as a Ph.D. student at UiO, Magnus aims to continue his involvement in the ARC. With the experience he has gained as a shifter over the past few years, he is ready to take on his first mandate as a Run Manager.
During his mandate, Magnus will supervise ALICE during the final days of beam commissioning and the first stable beams at full energy. He will also take care of the first step of the intensity ramp-up.
