The ALICE collaboration celebrated its PhD thesis award winners
during a special function held as part of the ALICE Week collaboration meeting at CERN.
The ALICE PhD Thesis Award is dedicated to the memory of
Karel Šafařík (1953–2024)
This year's Winners are:

Dr. Swati Saha
NISER, Homi Bhabha National Institute, India
Thesis title: Probing QCD matter via fluctuations, correlations, and flow in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC
Swati is now a postdoc with ALICE at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. - Dr. Andrea Tavira García
Universite Paris-Saclay, France
Thesis title: Single and double charm production in pp collisions at √s = 13.6 TeV with ALICE
Andrea is now a postdoc with ALICE at the University of Texas at Austin.
- Dr. Gregor Hieronymus Eberwein
University of Oxford, UK
Thesis title: Wafer-Scale Stitched CMOS Pixel Sensors: Characterisation and Detector Performance Studies for ALICE ITS3
Gregor is now a postdoc at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
- Dr. Chiara Ferrero
Politecnico di Torino, Italy
Thesis title: Novel pixel CMOS sensors for radiation detection applications and subnanosecond timing measurements
Chiara is now a postdoc with ALICE at INFN Turin.
