The High Energy Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) invites applications for two
postdoctoral research associate positions to work on the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The successful
candidates are expected to take leading roles in detector upgrade projects such as the Tile calorimeter
readout and Fast TracKer (FTK) project, as well as to make significant contributions to data analysis.

The ANL group has a strong expertise in calorimetry, Trigger/DAQ (TDAQ) system and computing. The
group is heavily involved in the operations of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter and TDAQ, and has several
major upgrade activities for these systems. Current analysis involvement of the group includes Higgs
studies, Standard Model measurements and searches for new phenomena. Additional information on the
activities in the group may be found at http://atlaswww.hep.anl.gov/group/.

The candidates must have received their Ph.D. in experimental particle physics within three years of the
start of the appointment.
Applicants should send curriculum vitae, a description of research interests
through the application system http://www.anl.gov/careers/apply-job/postdoctoral-applicants with
Requisition Number 322137, and arrange for three letters of recommendation to hep_letters@anl.gov . For
further information, contact Dr. Jinlong Zhang at zhangjl@anl.gov . Review of applications will begin once
the application is completed and will continue until the positions are filled.

Argonne National Laboratory is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and women and
minorities are encouraged to apply.
