The Hadronic Physics Group within the Laboratory for Nuclear Science at MIT is seeking a qualified postdoctoral associate to help in the development of a high rate, scalable readout system for future nuclear physics experiments. The candidate should have a recent PhD in experimental nuclear physics with experience and an aptitude for electronics and FPGA, GPU, or similar programming. Familiarity with VME or ATCA systems would also be an advantage.
In addition to work developing the readout system the successful candidate would be able to participate in the other experimental projects the group is
involved with such as the DarkLight experiment at JLab or work towards a future electron- ion collider, EIC.

The project offers a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the development of cutting-edge technology, which will be essential for next-generation subatomic physics experiments.
The position would be primarily based at the Cambridge campus of MIT but some interaction with electronic engineers at the MIT-Bates Laboratory (approximately 20 miles north of Cambridge) will also be required.
In addition to applying online via the MIT website, please submit a CV and cover letter and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent by post or E-mail:
