PhD positions at University of Trieste

The Physics Department at the University of Trieste is now accepting applications for 13 PhD student positions.
 
The ALICE group in Trieste is looking for students to fill the newly available PhD scolarships. The group is mainly involved in the activities of the physics working group on light (PWG-LF) and heavy flavours (PWG-HF) and it actively participates in the Inner Tracking System (ITS) upgrade project.
The group is also engaged with the computing task of the ALICE experiment, maintaining the Trieste grid computing site and dealing with cloud computing.
 
The duration of the PhD program is three years starting from November 2017 and it is taught in English.
