The experimental heavy ion group at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research in the group of Professor Jamie Nagle.
The group is involved in the heavy ion physics program on the PHENIX experiment, the ATLAS experiment, and the sPHENIX experiment.
The candidate is expected to take a leading role in the detector development, simulation effort, and physics readiness within sPHENIX.
In addition, physics analysis and leadership within the ATLAS heavy ion effort is expected.
The position is initially for two years, with a possible extension for a third year.
The candidate will be based in Boulder, Colorado with travel to CERN and BNL as appropriate.
