The Physics Department has an opening for a two-year term Research Associate. The selected candidate will work closely with scientists in the PHENIX group to help develop online software — including simulation, real time computing, databases, monitoring, and data acquisition — and prepare for the commissioning of the sPHENIX experiment. The successful candidate could also take a significant role in existing research activities in which the group has a strong presence, such as physics analyses with existing data from ATLAS at the LHC on topics relevant to the sPHENIX physics program, and EIC detector R&D.
