        NEWS FROM POINT 2

Surface commissioning, commissioning at P2 and lab. and remote commissioning are progressing well for all central and subsystems.
The main highlights of this week:

        •  L3 magnet: L3 magnet was ramped up to 30kA without any issues.

        •  TPC: TPC took cosmic data with solenoid filed in standalone with continuous running.  TPC installed shielding fins on VTRx, optical signal degradation being monitored.

        •  ITS: ITS OB serviced installed and verification ongoing. First data readout will be tested this week.

        •  MFT: MFT tests under the magnet were successful. Full chain readout was validated for Pb-Pb hit occupancies.

        •  MW4 (Milestone Week 4): Preparatory work ongoing for MW4 next week (12 - 17 April). Main objectives are ECS-DCS integration for SoR/EoR, full system tests from FLP, and combined runs with online data processing.
