Post Doctoral position in Ultrarelativistic Heavy-Ion Physics

The Department of Physics at Lehigh University seeks applicants for a postdoctoral research fellow position in the field of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion physics. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Anders Knospe on the STAR and sPHENIX experiments at Brookhaven National Laboratory, with a focus on studies of heavy-flavor and heavy-quarkonium production in ion-ion collisions. Responsibilities include data analysis and publication of results, collaboration service work, mentoring students, and support of the Lehigh Relativistic Heavy Ion Group's research activities. Occasional travel to Brookhaven will be required. The initial term of the appointment is one year and can be extended to up to 2.5 years.

Experience in the field of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion physics is required. The successful candidate should have completed the requirements for a Ph.D. degree by the time of appointment.
