The CSC-UoL scholarship is a joint scholarship programme for postgraduate research students, which is jointly overseen by China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the University of Liverpool (UoL). It was established in early 2010 and extended recently in 2019 for another 5-years with an annual allowance of 30 full-time PhD positions to the University of Liverpool.
In the programme, UoL will provide the scholarship to waive the tuition fees for the students during their PhD study at the University of Liverpool and CSC will provide funding for the students to cover 48-months stipend and international flight tickets for one return journey. The supervisor will provide funding for research consumables, conferences, and travel costs etc. for the student.
- Be a Chinese national
- Meet the requirements of the CSC – please see their website
- Hold an unconditional offer to study for a PhD at the University of Liverpool in one of the university's research areas (see below how to)
- Have completed a Bachelor or Master degree before the agreed start of PhD study.
The programme is very competitive on both the UoL and CSC side.
If you are a Chinese Bachelor or Master student interested in this programme to study for a PhD at the University Liverpool in the ALICE group, please contact Marielle Chartier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for bringing this opportunity to the attention of any suitable Chinese Bachelor and Master students currently studying for their final year of their Physics degree.
