ONGOING AND UPCOMING EVENTS
9 Oct 2021: during the second test of TI2 transfer line upstream splash muons were detected and tracked through the Muon Forward Tracker!
-
ALICE 3 Workshop, 18–19 Oct 2021: the ALICE 3 workshop will cover the future heavy-ion programme for Run 5 and beyond based on a novel detector. We would warmly invite everyone who can be at CERN to attend in person. For planning in line with Covid regulations, we would like to ask those of you who intend to attend in person to register on indico.
- ALICE Physics Forum, 20 and 22 Oct 2021: for the upcoming mini-week, we will have a rich Physics Forum agenda, with 13-14 paper proposals/updates. Therefore the PF will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Friday from 10:00 to 13:00.
- Second round of an LHC-wide mentoring program: The goal is to connect young scientists who are interested in a career in research with researchers who are established in the field. Each mentee-mentor relationship will have its own set of specific goals, as proposed by the mentee and agreed upon with the mentor. The application forms are in the links for Mentees and Mentors. The applications are open now until 22 October 2021.
