The Experimental Particle Physics group at UCAS (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) invites applications for Research Assistant/Associate positions at UCAS.

The post-holders are expected to play a leading role in search for New Physics in the heavy flavour sector, including lepton universality tests, angular analysis with the b->sll or b->c\tau\nu processes. This is funded by the NSFC-CERN major international joint research project from 2021 to 2025.

The post-holders can choose to be based at UCAS (Beijing), with frequent travel to CERN; or half at Beijing, half at CERN; and it can also be negotiated to be based at CERN. The annual gross salary is around 300k RMB depending on the post-holder’s experience, and the post-holder will receive a monthly subsistence of 2000 CHF for the stay at CERN. The term of initial appointment is two years with the possibility of reappointment. It is possible for an outstanding candidate to be prompted as a tenure-track assistant professor of UCAS.

Eligible candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or will have a Ph.D. degree by the time when the contract is signed.

Interested candidates should send a curriculum vitae and a brief statement of research interests to Ms. Zhang (carolinezh@ucas.ac.cn) by 21 May 2023. She/He should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent by the reference writers directly to Ms. Zhang by the due time. An interview will be organized upon receipt of the complete documents.
