NEWS FROM POINT 2
- LHC provided smooth operation at 960b over the past two days, with ~61% of the time in Stable Beams. This Friday morning the total luminosity without beam background delivered to ALICE has reached ~1.74 nb-1 (1.94 nb-1 in total).
- ALICE performances are very good, with a running time efficiency routinely exceeding 80% for long fills. Machine will continue production for physics until Sunday night, aiming to maximise the delivered lumi to the experiments.
- Lead-ion collisions at the LHC ends on 30 October at 6 AM.
- ALICE End Of Run Party will take place on Tuesday 31 Oct 2023, 11:30 following the RC Weekly Meeting. Please register.

DIVERSITY
- "Work well feel well: No, no… it’s OK… Developing an awareness of health indicators": While a healthy amount of stress can provide motivation and drive, when work commitments are high, stress can negatively impact our health. It's essential to put measures in place to protect our health from the harmful effects of chronic stress.
This is the first of a 12-part Work Well Feel Well series, with articles to be published every two months.
- ALICE Diversity Office website can be accessed here. Your feedback is extremely important. You can send us an email that will be treated confidentially by using the email address: alice-diversity-office@cern.ch or send us an anonymous message by using this form.
