Job Description
The successful candidate will participate in one of the following sub-system groups of the Belle II detector under the responsibility of KEK --- the central drift chamber, trigger system, data acquisition system, computing, and mechanical engineering --- and engage in upgrade projects through design and development. Furthermore, the candidate will participate in physics analyses promoted by the KEK group using data collected by the Belle II experiment, including time-dependent CP violation, rare and (semi-)leptonic B-meson decays, tau physics, and the dark sector.
Qualification
Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. in experimental particle or nuclear physics (or a related field) by the appointment date, demonstrating a strong research record through peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations.
Term
Up to 3 years from the start of the term with the contract renewed every Japanese fiscal year.
