KEK IPNS opens term-limited assistant professor positions to work on Belle II DAQ. SuperKEKB is now constantly breaking luminosity records, and coming years will be exciting time for data taking. Please see the description below.

The successful candidates will join the KEK Belle group and play a central role in the on-site operation and upgrade of the data acquisition system of the Belle II experiment at KEK. The candidates will be dedicated to maintaining and improving the system to cope with increasing trigger rates, and will carry out upgrades of the data acquisition and control systems utilizing cutting-edge technologies. These include, but are not limited to, firmware development for high-speed data transfer, high-bandwidth networking and data processing, large-volume log and alert message handling, and AI-assisted system control. The workplace is the Tsukuba campus.

(qualification)
Applicants must have experience in technical development or operation within high energy physics, nuclear physics, or related experiments. Expertise in one or more areas, including firmware development, digital electronics, real-time software development, large-volume data handling, or AI-assisted control applications, is desired. Candidates must also demonstrate the leadership and technical capabilities necessary to execute the tasks described above.
