ALICE Upgrade Week 2026

The plenary programme starts on Monday at 14:30 with ALICE 3 detector overviews. Simulation and performance presentations are scheduled on Monday late afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, while sensor developments, mechanics, and the magnet will be presented in the Wednesday plenaries. Thursday is devoted to parallel sessions for the six ALICE 3 detectors and an ITS3-MOSAIX test-system tutorial. ALICE 3 readout and data processing will close the plenary programme on Friday morning. The plenary sessions of Tuesday morning are devoted to FoCal and ITS3 reports.

    For the contribution to the study of the mechanisms of light nuclei production in high-energy proton-proton collisions, using the event-by-event correlation between the production of antiprotons and antideutons.

LS3 Activities at Point 2

    CERN’s #PhotoOfTheWeek features the open solenoid of the ALICE experiment , as scientists officially disconnected its Transition Radiation Detector (TRD).

    TRD Disconnection started on 3 Aug and completed on 21 Aug.  Pictures in CDS

    FIT-A removal: 31 Aug.
