The University of Bristol invites applications for fully-funded PhD studentships at its Doctoral Training Centre for Data-Intensive Science.
These studentships offer the chance to carry out doctoral research in particle physics or astrophysics, combined with training in big data and machine learning techniques, and a six-month industry-based project. The aim is to develop a training ground for the next generation of data scientists required by both industry and academia.

Prior experience on the topic is a plus but not a requirement. This is a full time, 2 year, postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of renewal. The candidate is expected to be based at LBNL for the duration for the appointment.
