The University of Bristol invites applications for fully-funded PhD studentships at its Doctoral Training Centre for Data-Intensive Science.
These studentships offer the chance to carry out doctoral research in particle physics or astrophysics, combined with training in big data and machine learning techniques, and a six-month industry-based project. The aim is to develop a training ground for the next generation of data scientists required by both industry and academia.

Postdoctoral Researcher in the ATLAS group of LBNL, Berkeley, USA

Dear Colleagues,

Lawrence Berkeley Lab’s Physics Division is searching for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on Silicon detector instrumentation development, prototyping and construction for the High Luminosity upgrade to the ATLAS experiment. Prior experience on the topic is a plus but not a requirement. This is a full time, 2 year, postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of renewal. The candidate is expected to be based at LBNL for the duration for the appointment.
