Dear Colleagues,
The high-energy physics group at the Department of Physics, University
of Oslo, has an opening for a four year PhD Research Fellowship in
experimental heavy-ion physics. The starting date should be no later
than October 1, 2015.
Please see the attachment.
STAR Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rice University, Houston TX
The experimental high-energy nuclear physics group at Rice University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider.
Two postdoc positions at University of Santiago, to work on LHCb.
Postdoctoral position in the experimental nuclear physics group at Inha University
The experimental nuclear physics group of Inha University, South Korea, is inviting candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental heavy-ion physics on the ALICE.
Inha ALICE group is involved in the physics of heavy flavour in ALICE and ALICE ITS upgrade project.
The candidate is expected to carry out research with a focus on physics analysis in ALICE and ALICE ITS upgrade work.
Three year PhD fellowship at the Institut de Physique Nucléaire d'Orsay (IPNO), CNRS and Université Paris Sud. The ALICE IPNO group is offering a 3-year PhD fellowship starting October 1, 2015. The group is strongly involved in J/Ψ and charmed hadrons production analysis and also has responsibilities in the Muon Spectrometer detector operations. The successful applicant will work on the analysis of charm (D mesons and J/Ψ) production in pp and Pb-Pb collisions of the LHC run-II.
The data reduction pipelines within the European Southern Observatory (ESO) are used for the quick-look assessment of data; the health-monitoring of instruments /detectors; the generation of master calibration data; the reduction of scientific exposures; and data quality control.
This project involves the preparation of data reduction procedures in the framework of the new High-Level Data Reduction Library (HDRL). The procedures and algorithms have to be implemented in ANSI-C and with the ESO-CPL library
