CERN-Fermilab Hadron Collider Physics Summer School 2015 - Official Announcement

2015 marks an important year for hadron collider physics: 20 years after the discovery of the top quark at the Tevatron and 3 years after the discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC, the community is gearing up towards the start of Run 2 of the LHC, where we look forward to exploring uncharted territory for new physics and to measuring the properties of the Higgs boson.

The Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (Germany) has an opening for a Junior Scientist (6-year position, Akademischer Rat auf Zeit, salary grade A13) in the ATLAS group, to be filled immediately. The appointment will be initially for a period of three years, with the possibility of an extension by another three years.

Junior Faculty Position in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics, Atlanta, Georgia

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental nuclear and particle physics, to begin in August 2015 pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate will hold a joint physics faculty fellowship with GSU and the RIKEN BNL Research Center (RBRC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) for a period up to 5 years. The fellow will be a full-time faculty member at GSU and spend approximately 6 months each at RBRC and GSU during each year of the fellowship.
