NEWS FROM POINT 2
- BOOKING is now OPEN in SAMS for all slots up to 30 October, including the pp reference run and Heavy Ion period: From 18 September to 30 October we will enter a critical data taking phase during which we will collect data for the proton-proton reference run and Heavy Ion. If you are interested in taking shifts during the exciting phase of the life of the collaboration and you have questions, do not hesitate to contact:

- ALICE central operations:
- ALICE started yesterday the interaction rate scan with the first fill at 2400b. First step at 10 kHz, mu ~ 0.05% ongoing, target 1 Billion events.

- LHC Status:
- LHC is now in production for physics.

On 11 May, LHC collided beams with 2400 proton bunches per beam, reaching its maximum target for LHC Run3 at the record energy of 6.8 TeV per beam. The picture shows an event display recorded by the ALICE .
