- In case of questions, please contact RC (alice-rc@cern.ch)
- LHC and ALICE:
- During the last week, LHC provided pp collisions at full machine. The average time in Stable Beams was around ~60%.
- Next Monday, a four-day period of machine development will start. Afterwards (on Friday), there will be an access dedicated to x-ray scans of RF modules in different locations, in view of a possible increase in the bunch intensity.
- The vacuum situation in the machine around P2 is still being monitored closely since regular excursions are observed. The frequency of background spikes decreased during the last week.
- ALCE data taking went quite smoothly. A total luminosity of 25.8/pb of pp data was recorded. During the last week, two hardware issues occurred. Due to a problem with a FV0 channel and a power supply issue affecting TOF, 25% of the acceptance is impacted. Both could be fixed in an access.
- On Monday, a software update was performed in the shadow of an access for the SND emulsion exchange.
- During the last week, LHC provided pp collisions at full machine. The average time in Stable Beams was around ~60%.
- Current Run Manager (18 - 31 Aug): Yael Antonio VASQUEZ BELTRAN
