- ALICE Christmas Drinks on Thursday 19 December from 16:00 onwards at the ALICE Secretariat: For the first time in 4 years, Nathalie, Julia, Masami & Teresa are resuming their traditional đChristmas Drinks Partyđ and would like to invite us to celebrate the end of the year. Itâs an opportunity to get together one last time before the break. There will be some refreshments and music. If you can, please bring festive food/snacks for everyone to enjoy.

- Year-End Technical Stop (YETS): 25 Nov 2024 to 12 Mar 2025
- LHC:
Joint Accelerator Performance 2024 Workshop (JAP24), 10â12 Dec 2024 at Montreux
- P2 operations:
This week we performed some profiling tests of the environments creation and start of processes on the FLP and EPN nodes. The tests will be continued next year, with the goal of further reducing the average time between consecutive runs. On Tuesday we also performed the weekly software update.
Next week, after a final software update on Tuesday, we will move all the EPNs (except one) to the asynchronous reconstruction pool, and the CR1 machines will be turned off in preparation of the Christmas break.
