Job description:

Nikhef invites applications for a postdoc position in instrumentation for future particle detectors, primarily on silicon pixel detectors with a high temporal resolution. The successful candidate will work on the development of state-of-the art pixel sensors and its corresponding readout ASICs. The future LHC upgrades require a time resolution of several tens of picoseconds in a harsh radiation environment.

Creighton University has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral researcher to join our high-energy nuclear physics group within the ALICE Collaboration.  The Creighton group specializes in the study of ultra-peripheral heavy ion collision and detector controls. This position involves physics analysis work on ultra-peripheral collisions of nuclei collected by the ALICE experiment, and detector support for the ALICE EMCal.
